Tabatha's Salon Takeover: Bad Images

Images in Oyster Bay, New York, is owned by Josephine. She feels the salon needs a quality upgrade. Tabatha, watching on the hidden camera, points out many things, including Josephine's husband acting like a kid (male) in a candy shop. Or rather a donut shop, since his favorite words are muffin top and cupcake.

Tabatha calls the staff together and tells them she is taking over. She points out how poorly dressed they are, saying they look like hillbillies, which was kind. They mostly get defensive, or laugh.

Tabatha talks to Joe and Josephine, they are clueless concerning what the business is doing. In her meeting with the staff, she learns Joe does not really lead. Stacie and Claire fight constantly, in front of clients, and seem unable to control it. Tabatha assesses their work. Stacey is getting hotter and hotter. And she Blows! Quite a rant...other stuff going on there.

Looking at Stacey's hair, who would let her touch theirs?

Tabatha took the entire staff to an upscale salon in Manhattan. The owner demonstrates one of his $350.00 haircuts As clients, he cuts Stacey's hair, and Tabatha gives Josephine a makeover. Everyone looks much better. Even Stacey.

The renovation is spectacular, compared to what they had. Tabatha brings in customers from high end salons, to see how the stylists at Images perform. Joe was dazed and confused. Stacey allowed Tabatha to help her with a cut without throwing a fit. Joe and Josephine are having a meltdown, because Joe cannot step up to the plate, so to speak. Josephine invented this job for Joe, and he seems not the brightest light in the pack.

Tara and Crystal get good grades on their skill sets, Claire and Stacey, not so good. Josephine threatens to fire Joe ( yeah, right).

Six weeks later, Josephine and Joe are both absent, and none of the changes have taken place. Methinks they just wanted the renovation. Can't win 'em all, Tabatha.

I wouldnt step foot in this trashy salon if my life depended on it. What a group of trashy low class morons. Joe? Wow what a grade a reject! Stacey? Really? Why would you employ such a trash bag? How does she have a job?

They are not bad people by any means, but they just seem very uneducated and project a low class image. They just should not run a salon.

This is a really interesting episode. It's remarkable to see and hear the transformation in the stylists after they've experienced high-end customer service at Eiji's salon. They don't just look younger and fresher, they really seem more open and excited about their profession. Joe is a sweetie, but he needs to be doing something else. It's sad to see management drop the ball at the end, but at least the staff still show some of that spark and desire to better themselves.
