Martino, owner of Martino's Salon in Sewell, New Jersey,purchased from Giovanni and Pileggi last year, is a Christopher Moltisanti wannabe. Minus the gun. All Italian silk and serious bling, he's $300,000 in the hole, but spends mucho money on himself. He may be a Christopher wannabe, but he has a Tony Soprano home.
He plays with and licks every client. He doesn't understand why he's losing money. As Tabatha inspects the facility, the filth and disorganization become apparent.
He owes more than his home is worth, including $40,000 to his mother and the Little Red Corvette.
No leadership is one of the major concerns of the staff. Tabatha evaulates the stylists' work. If Adriana La Cerva hadn't been whacked, would she have sported fuchsia streaks? This episode begs the question.
Tabatha goes to Martino's house. Tacky chic would best describe it, including a baby grand player piano. Tabatha attempts to tell him that he lives above his means, but he truly has no concept of it. It's like Economics 101 for a two-year-old. She gets him to throw money out of the window and cut up his credit cards. She has him choose between the Corvette and the SUV.
In the staff meeting, Tabatha focuses on the retail sales end of the business.
In Martino's office, there is petrified dog shit on the floor. What is it with stylists thinking it's alright to bring dogs to work? Tabatha shuts the salon down for the renovation.
The renovations are impressive, and Martino behaves like a business owner. He overbooks his clients, so he ran a little behind. At the end of the day, Tabatha reviews her recommendations with the staff. Retail sales rose with the training they received. Dana was put in charge of the assistants and Nancy was made head stylist.
When Tabatha returns six weeks later, she finds that Martino has invested back into the business with the purchase of those cool blow-dryers that drop down and turn on from the ceiling. Martino seems less Christopher Moltisani and more Guiseppe Franco.

I am sure that Anonymous post was MARTINO Himself! Ok get this.. DANA the " Head assistant " is 18 or 19. I KNOW!! SHE LOOKS 40! and haha HE IS FUCKING HER! Has been for many years! Kicked his wife out for this girl. HE IS EVIL. He acts like he is SO INTO HIS CHURCH, BUT its an act. HE IS A MONSTER!!!!!
