The Michael Christopher Salon, supposedly the best in Delaware, if not the world, sends Danielle, a twenty three year old stylist with not one, but two boob jobs, affectionately known as her puppies, to Umberto Beverly Hills. Danielle is excited, she thinks she belongs in Beverly Hills.
We will see.
When she arrives, she is greeted by the staff, and Umberto. Babette, the manager at Umberto, a victim of plastic surgery gone wrong, thinks Danielle looks sleazy. . The other employees predict she won't last the day.
Meanwhile, Gina, from Umberto, who's clientele includes Natalie Cole, goes to Delaware. Michael Christopher won't greet her personally, he has to be introduced by one of the staff members. They are all surprised by Gina's appearance, she is rather ordinary looking, not fitting their notion of what Hollywood looks like.
Gina's first test was an updo. Before she can complete the task, Michael steps in, says she is taking too long,and calls it a disaster. Michael gloats, Gina is embarrassed . Michael then proceeds to show her his bio...his celebrities, blah blah blah, ad nauseum.
The next day, Gina is browbeaten by Rebecca, the manager, taken off the client she is currently blowdrying, sent to the next client.
Takeover day: Michael insists that she come to his home to do hair, and he takes the entire staff there to watch. Michael thinks his McMansion rivals anything found in Hollywood, so he takes her through on a tour. When they finally get to work, they cut and blowdry twins. Michael can't replicate the style, spends most of the time clowning around, then, as Gina tries to repair his work, Michael declares to his staff that they are just as good, if not better, than Hollywood.

Gina was too classy to call him out. Too bad! ( Haireality has "issues " with hairstylists with over bearing egos) blah blah blah...so boring, this need to tell everyone how great they are.
Meanwhile, back at Umberto, Danielle's test....bleached out blonde, messed up hair that needs color correction. Danielle did say the hair needed more work than could be done in one session. Umberto says the finished product is "not Beverly Hills" . He brings in a Color educator to talk to her.
She got behind on appointments the next day. Keri Kasem , daughter of Kasey Kasem, and some sort of local celebrity in LA, finds out she's from Wilmington , Delaware. and freaks out, says things about Wilmington as if it's Bangladesh. Kasem forces her to use another brush for blowdrying. then Kasem takes the blowdryer from her and shows her how she wants it. Kasem's hair actually looked better before the work than after.
On her day, Danielle re-decorates one of the rooms. The staff is happy with the change.That famewhore from Workout , Rebecca, was her last customer. Rebecca complained and bitched throughout the entire process, and another stylist finished it. It looked no different, but Rebecca got on-air time. Danielle really got a "workout" at Umberto.
Both women were sabotaged . Be careful what you wish for.
